So did I manage to go down to 5% body fat this month?



Nope.

I'm close though, probably low 6%. Didn't even get there by doing this yesterday:



Yes that's 100 miles on my bike. That's over a pound of fat burned right there. Incidentally, it sucked and I'm not doing that again before... next year... yeah.

I was right on track to do this because, come on, it's not really hard to go from 7.5-8% down to 5% in a month, but I made two big mistakes. LEARN FROM THEM.

1. Eat more fat
No, DON'T DO THIS. This is bullshit. There's people who say that eating fat will help you lose weight because it activates your metabolism ( true ) and makes you less hungry ( utter bullshit). I doubled my fat intake for over a week and I went even crazier with hunger and ended up eating probably 400-500 calories more per day as a result.

2. Have cheat days!
Following the advice of one dumbass named Tim Ferriss ( Google him yourselves) I tried to have a "cheat day". The idea behind it is that it will make you mentally satisfied AND your body won't turn that food into fat because ... of some magic. I ended up eating a RIDICULOUS amount on that cheat day, probably over 7000 calories. The result was close to 2 pounds of pure fat tacked onto my ass from this.

So yeah, all that shit got me pretty good. But now that the boring stuff is out of the way, let's have fun!

So amazing indeed. Next time I try lowering my body fat, I think I'll aim for the opposite direction, i.e. gaining lean mass instead of losing fat. I don't think this regime is very conducive to muscle gain honestly... yeah... I did around 910km of bike in that month ( 566 miles ) and I don't know if the human body is capable of building much mass while under that stress. Who knows. Winter's coming so I can sit on my ass some more, doing TOO MUCH exercise should be the least of my problems.

p.s., haven't touched alcohol in over a month now. 1/12th the way down! Gotta say I don't miss it much.
