Resolutions Part 7: Getting That 6 Pack

I've decided to do a 12 step program this year. Each month, make a new lifestyle change until it all adds up at the end of the year. The key to success is to start small and have a plan. Follow along with me and make your life better! Or at least, more interesting.

Resolution 1: Eat Healthier
Resolution 2: GO TO SLEEP!
Resolution 3: Count Money!
Resolution 4: 59 Seconds
Resolution 5: Follow Politics
Resolution 6: Do Fitocracy Quests
Resolution 7: Get Six Pack
Resolution 8: Shhhh It's a secret
Resolution 9: No More Binging
Resolution 10: Saving Money
Resolution 11: Promote my Dumbass Site!
Resolution 12: A New Food Every Day!

GOAL 7: 6 PACK ABS

Ah, the 6 pack, ultimate holy grail of the shallow fitness world. Last year I tried to get down to 5% body fat and this is what happened:



Not bad, not bad. Where am I about one year later?



So there's me, 16-17 pounds bigger, hopefully not JUST fatter, than last year. I ate completely unreasonable and insane amounts of food ever since then. Just crazy. I gained this weight through doing 10-15+ hours of intense bike per week. That's like 3000-4000 calories a day on average that I've been eating because I wanted to make sure I got all the fitness gains I could while training this winter.

Made good progress with cycling, but now... ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT. Blubber is not useful for bike racing. Last year I only got to 6-6.5% body fat and it was measured right after an insane day of cycling.

This year, I'll try to beat that and actually hit the 5% mark ( as measured with my little caliper things...which is not totally accurate I think). Here I'm about at 9%

So here it is, side by side to motivate me. I SHALL CREATE A SWEET AB PICTURE OUT OF THIS. Some day.
