One of the first submissions. Really impressed me and gave me hope. Awesome badass pose that should have spawned at least one chessy cavewoman movie starring Brigitte Nielsen in the 80s. ============================================================== Awesome detail and render on the character, unfortunately it sorta lacks a background. Could have used a shadow or something, but the figure is stunning. ============================================================== Well no one's going to accuse this one of not having enough details in the background. Foreshortening is a little off, but the great paint job on the accessories makes up for it. Also, that is one long hand gun. ============================================================== Pretty impressive paint job on that model, though the "fantasy" element was definately lacking at first. Nice save with the wings, but it still feels a little forced. Still a damn good piece with great colors in the background.. ============================================================== OK that background figure is way cartoony and goofy, but check that butt out! Holy smokes. Only thing I would say is that the rendering is too blurry on the main figure but the pose is dynamite. It was really close between this one and number 5... Sadly had to pick one :/ |

Though it's not as expertly rendered as some of the other entries, it has a great retro feel and a chick with.. like giant cobra arms? Also love the little spaceships flying around and the little spark details really complement the painted/blurrier look of the woman. Perfect rendering on that chick in the foreground even though I'm not sure if the rendering on the feathers is that high-grade.... wait, what the hell am I talking about? Great work on the plump face, managed to get the look down perfectly while not shying away from the challenge of drawing a hot chick's face. The whole design of the cover is perfect and there's no way you'd find this kind of image anywhere but on a Heavy Metal magazine cover. I don't know how well all that heavy glow would print on actual paper and I don't give a shit because my eyes are getting raped and I love it. The top half reminds me of Star Wars and the bottom reminds me of what should have been in Star Wars. |
