Did I Gain Muscle in 2021?

One of my goals in 2021 was to gain 10 pounds of muscle. Well I didn’t weigh myself the entire time. But I did a lot of weights? And are creatine?
I have no idea what happened.

I can’t tell.

By my estimate 10 pounds was maybe 6-7% of extra bodyweight. Is that enough that you could tell just visually? There’s so much variation that affects this: Body fat, lighting, post-workout pump, heat, dehydration…

This is about as charitable as I can make it for now. I didn’t measure anything with a tape but it feels like my forearms/chest/lats are a little bigger.
We will see next year if doing hundreds of pullups and pushups produces noticeable changes!

I just am not interested in quitting cycling to concentrate solely on doing deadlifts and eating chicken breast…
